Thiesnuts (pronounced theeznuts) is a skate company "for people, from people dedicated to skateboarding". We take great pride in developing, designing and selling the best quality products for skaters.

Thiesnuts was established in the summer of 2003 and based in San Diego, California. Our priority is making top quality products for those individuals who take skateboarding to the next level and "Go Nuts". We want skaters that everyone watches and says "That trick was nuts!" to be wearing our apparel. In just three years we have already made an impact in skateboarding from sponsoring events to giving free gear to riders that follow our motto. Are you one of those riders? Are you nuts enough for Thiesnuts?

So how did we derive the name Thiesnuts? Well, it all goes back to the childhood days of the owner and founder of Thiesnuts, John Thies. His last name is pronounced "thees" and there is a classic joke that sounds similar to that pronunciation. For example, someone might walk up to their friend and ask, "Hey, do you want two CD's?" with the friend replying "Sure!" Then the response being, "To see deez nuts?!". After his friends heard of these jokes it didn't take long for them to came up with the nickname Thiesnuts. By high school all of John's friends starting calling him by this new name and it didn't take long before everyone knew him simply as Thiesnuts.
